PTP Advertising
Starting April 1, 2009 Pecomail will no longer accept Paid To Promote ads. The sites running in the PTP PTC section will be allowed to finish as well as emails running but after the 1st the PTP section for points via email and the PTP section for PTC will be removed. Please do not submit new PTP ads after the 20th of this month or they will be rejected without a refund.
Paid to Promote ads have become a big risk to members and the site. Many are so full of garbage anymore they are not even worth the advertisers money. Pecomail strives to provide members with quality advertising. We do not feel that (most) PTP fall into that category. There are many other sites you may promote your pages on but Pecomail will not be one of them. The Promo page for Pecomail will not be affected in this change.
I do understand that many owners are not responsible for what affiliates run through their promotions but to many sites anymore put everyone at risk and Pecomail does not wish members to have to worry about whether it is safe to click a link or not.
Thank you for your understanding. This will be posted in the forum if you would like to comment or have questions.
March 11, 2009 Addition:
After consideration I have decided that PTR Affiliate pages will not be considered for allowance for advertising on Pecomail. I feel to many of the pages are no different then the PTP pages and it is not beneficial to the members or the site.
